Why model railroading?

Model railroading is not only fun, but it can also be a great educational activity and learning tool.

Building model railroads allows you to develop and use skills in numerous areas, such as carpentry and woodworking, model building, painting and artistic techniques, and electrical wiring. These are all skills that can be applied to many other areas in life.

Model railroading is not only great for individuals, but can also be a fun activity for families or groups that everyone can participate in.

Model railroading can be educational. You can learn about the history of trains, and how trains helped our country grow. Learn how the modern railroading industry operates, providing a key part of the backbone to our economy.
